Session Organizer: Prof. I-Jen Chiang and Prof. Hung-Wen Chiu

We are organizing a special session on Intelligent Information Processing for Biomedical Decision Support (abbreviated as IIPBDS) for ICICIC 2007, which will be held in Kumamoto, Japan on September 5 - 7. This special session aims to bring researchers who are interested in intelligent information processing for biomedical decision support to review the current state-of-art, exchange the latest ideas and explore future directions. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

1. Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery in Healthcare

2. Genetic Algorithms Applied to Biomedical Data Analysis
3. Neural Network Applied to Biomedical Decision Support
4. Intelligent Statistical Data Analysis in Biomedicine
5. Biomedical Applications of Data Analysis
6. Other New Approaches of Data Analysis for Healthcare

Submissions:

Papers are invited from prospective authors with interest on the related areas. Each paper should follow the IEEE format with title, author's names, affiliation, email addresses, an up to 150-words abstract, and a two-column body with 4 single-spaced pages and with font size at 10 pts. All papers must be submitted electronically in PDF format only and be mailed to hwchiu@tmu.edu.tw.

Notification of acceptance ------ April 10, 2007

Deadline for camera-ready manuscript submission ------ April 30, 2007
